The Tilta Camera Cage for Sony FX5 Base Kit is engineered specifically for the Sony FX5 cinema camera body, providing a secure and stable mounting solution with three points of contact to prevent twisting during operation.
Modular and Lightweight Configuration
The full cage can be converted into a lightweight half cage by removing two bottom screws and the handle-side bracket, allowing users to switch between a robust or more compact setup depending on shooting requirements.
Accessory Mounting Options
- Multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threaded holes at various locations for versatile accessory attachment.
- Cold shoe receiver for mounting compatible accessories.
- NATO rail on the top plate for attaching top handles and other gear.
- Mounting points for a single rod holder to support additional rig components.
Top Plate and Bottom Plate Features
- The standalone top plate includes a NATO rail with multiple threaded holes and a 3/8"-to-1/4" adapter thread, enhancing accessory mounting flexibility.
- Bi-directional ARCA bottom plate allows sliding from either direction, facilitating quick transitions between tripods and gimbals.
- Integrated DJI gimbal center-positioning point on the bottom plate reduces balancing time.
- Separate center-positioning point for baseplates helps achieve a well-balanced rig setup.

- Reinforced corners protect the cage and camera from accidental bumps and damage during active filming.
