The Panasonic DMW-BGS5E Battery Grip is designed to double the battery life of the LUMIX S5 camera by allowing the use of two batteries simultaneously — one inside the camera and another in the grip. This feature enables extended shooting sessions without frequent battery changes. Note that the battery packs are sold separately.
