Product Description

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G ED is a compact, wide-angle prime lens designed for everyday shooting on Nikon FX-format cameras. Its bright f/1.8 maximum aperture allows excellent performance in low-light conditions and provides control over depth of field for selective focus effects. The optical design incorporates one aspherical element to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion, and one extra-low dispersion element to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing, resulting in sharp, clear images with accurate color reproduction.

A Super Integrated Coating is applied to lens elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting, enhancing contrast and color fidelity even in strong lighting. The lens features a Silent Wave Motor for quick, quiet, and precise autofocus, with full-time manual focus override. The rear focusing system moves only the rear lens group during focusing, maintaining the lens length and enabling faster focus speeds.

This 35mm lens is optimized for FX-format Nikon F-mount cameras but can also be used on DX-format bodies, where it provides an equivalent focal length of 52.5mm. The rounded seven-blade diaphragm produces pleasing out-of-focus areas, enhancing the quality of shallow depth of field images.
