Quick Switching Between Horizontal and Vertical Shooting

The SmallRig 4702 Rotatable Horizontal to Vertical Mount Plate Kit is designed specifically for Panasonic LUMIX S5 II, S5 IIX, and G9 II cameras. It enables rapid switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations without the need to adjust the optical axis of the lens. This feature streamlines workflow and enhances shooting flexibility.

Full Access to Camera Functions

The design maintains full access to the camera's LCD flip screens, buttons, battery door, and card slots, ensuring uninterrupted operation during orientation changes. Built-in silicone pads protect the camera from scratches and prevent twisting during use.

Rotatable Mount Plate

The swivel mounting plate rotates 90 degrees by simply unlocking a knob, allowing seamless transition between horizontal and vertical positions.

Compatibility and Mounting Options

  • Compatible with Arca-type and Manfrotto RC2 quick release tripods.
  • Bottom threaded holes include 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 for attaching side handles or additional quick release plates.
  • Baseplate features a quick-detach (QD) mount, a strap hole compatible with SmallRig Wrist Strap 3848, and includes a dual-headed magnetic spanner for easy installation and removal.

Usage Notes

  • Remove the lens before installation or removal of the mount plate.
  • Not recommended for use with lenses that have a lens support collar.
  • Compatible with Panasonic LUMIX S series lenses; however, lenses with AF/MF, POWER O.I.S, or other buttons on the lens may have affected button functionality when using this mount.
  • Compatible with Panasonic LUMIX G / LEICA DG series lenses except for LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 II ASPH. and LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH., which have POWER O.I.S. and may experience button use interference.
