Product details

The Buteo Mark III Green Hide Tent is designed for solo nature and bird photographers. This updated hide incorporates improvements based on feedback from users and ambassadors, including enhanced weather protection and improved photography and viewing windows.

Features

  • A front awning helps keep rain off the tent and protects the lens. It also provides shade in sunny conditions.
  • An enhanced roof structure with additional fibreglass poles helps prevent water from pooling and keeps the roof sturdy and rounded so water runs off.
  • Eight long, wide black aluminium stakes provide stability.
  • Thick cords replace Velcro on the zippers to reduce noise.
  • Zippered windows can be fully closed to help protect the interior from moisture and the elements.

Windows and insect nets can be operated from inside the tent using zippers. Brightly coloured cords and storage areas are easier to locate in low light, and an instruction label is provided inside. The insect nets attach with zippers and can be fully opened for a wider view or to accommodate photography accessories such as a snoot.

Photography and viewing windows

The spacious, adjustable photography and viewing windows measure 40 × 36 cm. Zippers on both sides allow adjustment, and the windows can be operated from inside or outside. In rainy conditions, close the outer window fabric and use the zipper around the lens to help keep the camera and photographer dry while shooting.

Practical details

The spacious entrance has high-quality zippers to help keep insects out. A camouflage exterior helps the tent blend into its surroundings, while the dark interior has a black coating. Bright accents on the zipper cords and storage-pocket edges make them easier to find. The carrying bag has a long, adjustable shoulder strap and an extra top pocket for accessories such as stakes and guy ropes.
