The Ricoh WG-80 is designed for outdoor adventures with a robust, compact body that is waterproof up to 14 meters for two hours, shockproof from 1.6 meters, freeze-proof to -10°C, and crushproof up to 100 kgf. Its rugged construction ensures reliable performance in harsh environments.
Exceptional Image Quality
Equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivering approximately 16.0 effective megapixels, the WG-80 offers high sensitivity up to ISO 6400 and low noise. The advanced imaging engine and super-resolution technology produce sharp, high-resolution images. Innovative features include Triple Anti-Shake Protection to reduce blur in various shooting conditions.
Versatile 5× Optical Zoom Lens
The camera features a high-performance 5× optical zoom lens with a focal length range of 5–25 mm (equivalent to 28–140 mm in 35mm format), suitable for wide-angle landscapes and telephoto shots. It supports macro photography with a minimum focusing distance of 1 cm and an Intelligent Zoom function extending zoom up to approximately 36× (1008 mm equivalent) without quality loss.
Advanced Macro Lighting System
Six LED Macro Lights arranged around the lens provide bright, uniform illumination for close-up shots. The illumination intensity is adjustable in five steps, nearly doubling the brightness of previous models. Features include Instant Illumination Enhance for higher shutter speeds, Self-Portrait Assist mode, and LED Lighting mode for dark environments.
Underwater Shooting Modes
Specialized Underwater and Underwater Movie modes optimize color and contrast for underwater photography by enhancing red tones and compensating for light diffusion. The Flash Off + Flash On option captures two consecutive images with and without flash for improved underwater results.
Full HD Video Recording
The WG-80 records Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) video at 30 fps using H.264 format. It includes high-speed camera functionality for slow-motion playback and interval movie recording. A micro-HDMI (Type D) port allows output of video and audio to external devices.
Triple Anti-Shake Protection
- Pixel Track SR mechanism digitally compensates for camera shake in still images.
- Digital SR mode raises ISO sensitivity up to 6400 in low light to enable faster shutter speeds.
- Movie SR mode stabilizes video footage to reduce blur caused by movement.
