SmallRig 6537 D-Tap Dummy Battery Power Cable for Nikon EN-EL15c

Designed for extended video recording, livestreaming and other long shooting sessions, this cable powers compatible Nikon cameras from an external power source, such as a V-mount battery with a D-Tap output. It provides continuous camera power and reduces the need to change batteries.

Display and protection

  • The built-in display shows input voltage and power status in real time.
  • A steady green indicator means the input voltage is above 13.0 V and power is sufficient.
  • A steady or flashing red indicator means the input voltage is below 13.0 V and power is low.
  • If the D-Tap connector is inserted in reverse, the display shows no voltage and reverse-connection protection is triggered. Reconnect it in the correct direction to resume normal operation.
  • An upgraded chip provides camera compatibility without warning messages.
  • The dummy battery is moulded to the dimensions of the original battery for smooth installation and removal.
  • Safety features include overvoltage, overheating, overcharge, short-circuit and reverse-connection protection. The battery housing is made from flame-retardant ABS.
