SmallRig 6656 Dummy Battery Power Cable for D-Tap for Canon LP-E6P

This power cable connects a D-Tap power source to a Canon LP-E6P-compatible camera, providing continuous external power for extended video recording, livestreaming and other long shooting sessions. The dummy battery is moulded to the dimensions of the original battery for smooth installation and removal.

Power and status display

A built-in display shows the input voltage and power status in real time. When the input voltage is above 13.0 V, the indicator stays green to show sufficient power. Below 13.0 V, the indicator turns red or flashes red to warn that the power level is low.

If the D-Tap connector is inserted in reverse, no voltage is displayed and reverse-connection protection is triggered. Reconnect the cable in the correct direction to restore normal operation.

Compatibility and protection

An upgraded chip provides camera compatibility without warning messages. The cable includes overvoltage, overheating, overcharge, short-circuit and reverse-connection protection. Its battery housing is made from flame-retardant ABS for reliable long-term use.

Display status

  • Steady green light with voltage displayed: input voltage is above 13.0 V and power is sufficient.
  • Steady or flashing red light with voltage displayed: input voltage is below 13.0 V and power is low.
  • Steady red light with no voltage displayed: the D-Tap input is connected in reverse and reverse-connection protection is active. Reconnect it in the correct direction.
