This kit includes a combination of filters designed for versatile light control and creative effects in photography and videography. It features the NiSi True Color Variable ND filter (1-5 stops), the NiSi Swift System ND16 (4 stops) filter, and the NiSi Swift System Black Mist 1/4 filter, along with the NiSi Swift System adapter ring, front protection, and a storage bag.
Filter Components and Usage
- NiSi True Color VND 1-5 Stops Filter: A variable neutral density filter providing 1 to 5 EV exposure reduction with stepless control by rotating the front ring. It offers true color results without color shift or "X" effect, suitable for lenses down to 16mm focal length (Full Frame) without vignetting.
- NiSi Swift System ND16 (4 Stops) Filter: A fixed 4-stop full spectrum neutral density filter with true color transmittance, featuring advanced Multi-Ti coating for scratch resistance and anti-glare, nano coating for water and dirt repellence.
- NiSi Swift System Black Mist 1/4 Filter: Creates a soft, pastel-like quality of light with an extra layer of black specks, providing minimal detail loss compared to traditional diffusion filters. It also has nano coating for durability and ease of cleaning.
- NiSi Swift System Adapter Ring: Used to attach the Swift Black Mist and ND16 filters when not combined with the True Color VND filter.
Filter Combinations and Compatibility
- The ND16 and Black Mist filters can be used independently or combined using the Swift system adapter ring.
- Combining the True Color VND 1-5 stop filter with the ND16 filter creates a variable ND filter with 5 to 9 stops of light reduction, suitable for lenses down to 18mm focal length (Full Frame) without vignetting.
- Adding the Black Mist 1/4 filter in front of the above combination or directly on the VND filter is possible, with compatibility down to 20mm focal length (Full Frame) without vignetting.

- The True Color VND filter features a front ring marked with stop values for easy and repeatable density control, with an optional removable silver lever for precise adjustments.
- Built-in stops at the filter's end positions help users know the current density setting during use.
