NiSi Filter Swift System VND / Black Mist Kit 77mm
This kit includes a combination of advanced filters designed for professional photography and videography, compatible with lenses of various focal lengths without vignetting when used appropriately.
Included Filters and Components
- NiSi True Color VND 1-5 Stops Filter: A variable neutral density filter providing 1 to 5 EV exposure reduction with stepless control by rotating the filter ring. It features built-in stops at end positions for precise adjustment and is visually marked with stop values for repeatable settings. The filter ring is made of high-quality aluminum with silver knurlings for secure grip and easy handling. It offers true color results without color shift or "X" effect, and includes an optional removable rotating lever.
- NiSi Filter Swift System ND16 (4 Stops): A full spectrum neutral density filter providing 4 stops reduction with true color transmittance. It features nano coating for water, grease, and dirt repellence, as well as a new Multi-Ti coating for enhanced scratch resistance and anti-glare properties.
- NiSi Filter Swift System Black Mist 1/4: A diffusion filter that creates a soft, pastel-like quality of light with an extra layer of black specks. It preserves image details better than traditional diffusion filters and includes nano coating for durability and ease of cleaning.
- NiSi Swift System Adapter Ring: Used to attach the Swift Black Mist and ND16 filters when not combined with the True Color VND filter.
- Front protection cover and a storage bag for safe transport and storage.
Filter Combinations and Usage
- The ND16 (4 stop) and Black Mist 1/4 filters can be used individually or combined using the Swift system adapter ring.
- Adding the NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stops filter to the ND16 filter creates a variable ND filter with 5 to 9 stops of light reduction.
- The Black Mist 1/4 filter can be added in front of this combination or directly on the VND filter for creative diffusion effects.
Compatibility and Vignetting
- NiSi True Color VND 1-5 stop filter can be used on full-frame lenses down to 16mm focal length without vignetting.
- Combined with the ND16 (4 stop) filter, it is compatible with lenses down to 18mm focal length (full frame) without vignetting.
- When combined with ND16 and Black Mist 1/4 filters, it can be used on lenses down to 20mm focal length (full frame) without vignetting.
