The Freewell Real Locking All Day Kit is a filter system designed for filmmakers who need complete control over light and images. It combines a variable gray filter (VND), an ND32 filter, and a hood to set the white balance, providing maximum flexibility for shooting and filming. The whole system is based on a robust locking mechanism that guarantees fast mounting and stability even during dynamic work.
Precise control of light and exposure
The Variable Gray Filter (VND) offers image dimming adjustment from 3 to 10 degrees. This allows you to shoot or film even in very bright light without overexposure—without having to change the shutter speed or aperture. The included ND32 filter allows you to extend the range to a maximum of 10 degrees, which is ideal for long exposures, motion blur, timelapse, or filming with a cinematic fluid effect.
Mechanical locking - stability without magnets
Unlike classic magnetic filters, Freewell used a mechanical locking system that holds the filter rigidly in place. The filter does not rotate on its own and does not fall off, even during intense camera movement or gimbal work. Installation and removal are instant—just press the side latches.
Natural colors without distortion - True Color Optics
The filters are made of True Color grade optical glass, ensuring neutral, true colors even at strong dimming or high contrast. This is especially important when working with professional video footage, where consistency of shots matters.
Practical extras for convenient work in the field
The front cap with a 2-snap lock and built-in NFC module provides access to instructions, instructional videos, and warranty information when the smartphone is brought close.
