Material and Coatings

Made of German Schott B270i HD glass, the filter features waterproof, stain-resistant, mildewproof, and scratch-resistant anti-reflective (AR) coatings, ensuring durability and minimal color cast.

Design and Compatibility

The filter has a CNC-machined ultra-thin metal frame that prevents vignetting even when used with ultra-wide angle lenses. It magnetically and securely attaches to SmallRig 52mm magnetic filter adapter rings (models 3840, 3845, and 4219).

Effect and Usage

The 1/4 Effect Black Mist filter softens high light intensity, reduces contrast and sharpness, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere without losing shadow detail. It delicately softens skin tones, making it ideal for natural-looking portrait retouching. Effect densities are available in 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2 for different diffusion levels.
