The TerraMaster D6-320 is an external DAS enclosure designed to support up to six 3.5" SATA HDDs, 2.5" HDDs, and 2.5" SSDs. It features a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface with a bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s, ensuring fast data transfer and convenient storage expansion. The maximum supported capacity reaches up to 132 TB, allowing extensive archiving of files, backups, or multimedia content. The device supports Hot Swap, intelligent disk sleep mode, and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its sturdy metal construction and efficient cooling make it suitable for both home and office environments.
Ample Storage Space and Flexible Configuration
The enclosure includes six independent bays supporting SATA drives in popular formats. Each bay supports drives up to 22 TB, providing a total maximum capacity of 132 TB. This capacity is ideal for storing movies, photos, graphic design projects, video files, and backups. The D6-320 operates in single-drive mode (SINGLE DISK/JBOD), allowing each drive to be managed independently and visible separately.
Hot Swap and Convenient Drive Management
Hot Swap functionality enables replacing or installing drives without powering down the device, minimizing downtime and streamlining data management. This is especially useful for users who frequently back up data or use multiple removable storage devices. Independent drive management allows easy storage expansion as needs grow.

The D6-320 supports automatic disk sleep synchronized with the computer’s operating system, reducing energy consumption and extending drive lifespan. It also includes protection against improper power supply; if an unsuitable power source is detected, protective mechanisms activate automatically to safeguard the electronics and installed drives.
Effective Cooling and Robust Construction
The enclosure is constructed from metal, enhancing durability and heat dissipation. Inside, two 80 mm fans are controlled by an intelligent temperature system that adjusts fan speed based on operating conditions. The optimized design reduces vibrations and improves airflow, maintaining optimal operating conditions for drives under heavy load while keeping noise levels low (28.4 dB(A)).
Wide Compatibility and NAS Expandability
The D6-320 is compatible with computers equipped with USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 3.2, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems for seamless integration. The enclosure is also compatible with select TerraMaster NAS servers running TOS 5.1 or later, enabling storage capacity expansion. Its compact design fits easily on a desk or in a small server room.
