The gold-coloured TimeKettle W4 Plus are wireless TWS translation earbuds designed to facilitate communication during business meetings, travel and everyday conversations with people who speak different languages. They support real-time translation in 52 languages and 106 accents, using the Babel OS 3.0 system and AI algorithms to improve fluency and naturalness. Features include four communication modes, bone conduction technology with a dual-microphone system, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and up to 12 hours of battery life with the charging case. Their lightweight design and OTA updates make them suitable for work and travel.
Clear voice capture in noisy environments
The earbuds combine bone conduction technology with a hybrid dual-microphone system. The VoiceFocus algorithm works with these features to capture the user's voice and reduce the effect of ambient noise. This helps conversations flow more smoothly at conferences, business meetings, airports and other noisy locations.
Babel OS 3.0 – fast, natural translations
The proprietary Babel OS 3.0 system automatically selects a suitable translation engine and is designed to operate smoothly even with a less stable internet connection. It supports online translation in 52 languages and 106 accents, as well as offline translation for selected language pairs. Built-in AI algorithms help make translations sound more natural and convey the meaning of speech more effectively.
Four communication modes
The W4 Plus offers four modes to suit different situations:
- One-on-One: For face-to-face conversations. Each person uses one earbud, with translation provided for both speakers.
- Listen & Play: For lectures, presentations and meetings, allowing you to listen to a translation in real time.
- Voice Call Translation: For phone and internet calls.
- Multi-Media Translation: For translating audio and video content.
Smart AI features
AI features are designed to support communication during international meetings and conversations. The system recognises specialised terminology from different industries, helps maintain consistency in translations during longer conversations and remembers user preferences. A meeting summary feature lets you review key information without taking notes manually.
Comfortable fit
Each earbud weighs 5.7 g, and the set with its case weighs 116.5 g. The ergonomic semi-in-ear design is intended for comfort during extended use. Interchangeable ear tips and ear hooks are included to help adjust the fit.
Battery life and charging
The earbuds provide up to 3 hours of continuous translation, while the charging case extends total battery life to up to 12 hours. Charging the earbuds takes approximately 50 minutes, and a full charge of the case takes approximately 1.5 hours. The USB-C port allows convenient charging at home or while travelling.
Privacy and updates
The manufacturer states that the W4 Plus is designed with user privacy in mind and complies with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the U.S. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for education-sector data protection. Data is transmitted using encrypted communication; the manufacturer states that it is neither stored nor used to train AI models. OTA (Over-the-Air) updates allow the translation system, language library and earbud features to be updated without connecting the device to a computer.
