Polaroid Now 3rd Generation - Thrasher Edition

The Now 3rd Generation camera features an improved dual-lens autofocus system that automatically switches between close-up and distance focus zones. The close-up focus covers approximately 0.4-1.3 meters, while the standard lens operates from about 1 meter to infinity. The relocated light meter and enhanced distance sensor help maintain consistent exposure and focus even in bright or complex lighting conditions.

Exposure Control

Exposure is managed by a custom switch and a six-step aperture, ranging from approximately f/11 to f/64, allowing for better control over brightness and depth. The built-in flash supports low-light photography. The camera includes a tripod mount and is compatible with attachable filters for a creative look. You can also use self-timer and double exposure modes to achieve simple built-in effects. Power is supplied by a built-in USB-C rechargeable battery, and the body is made from approximately 40 recycled materials. The weight is around 450 grams.

Film and Format

The Now Gen 3 uses Polaroid i-Type film and is also compatible with classic 600 film. Standard i-Type packs contain eight frames with an approximate ISO of 640 and a 79 x 79 mm image area on the iconic 88 x 107 mm frame, which develops in about 10-15 minutes.
