MITOYA HYRAX is a mini photo tripod designed for creators seeking an extremely stable yet ultra-mobile mount for their equipment. It features a robust design capable of supporting mirrorless and DSLR cameras with standard lenses, as well as action cameras and smartphones. The HYRAX tripod includes a ball head that allows free tilting of the camera. Two knobs control the position lock: the lower, smaller knob blocks rotation of the head around its 360° axis, while the upper, larger knob locks the bearing. The quick-release socket complies with the Arca Swiss standard, and the mounting plate features non-slip washers and a 1/4" screw. The base of the quick release includes two spirit levels to assist in precise framing and repeatable shots. The entire head can be unscrewed and removed, revealing a 3/8" thread connecting it to the tripod.

The tripod legs have foam handles and include two additional extendable sections secured with wide rotating clamps. Each leg can be independently tilted, allowing stable positioning on uneven terrain. Thick rubber feet enhance stability. The ratchet system enables the legs to be unfolded almost completely flat, resulting in a minimum working height of 21.5 cm. Additionally, the central column can be fully disassembled and mounted inverted, enabling ground-level photography and videography—ideal for macro and dynamic sports shots.
