The Nikon Z5 is a compact and capable FX-format mirrorless camera designed for both photography and videography. It features a 24.3MP CMOS sensor paired with the EXPEED 6 image processor, enabling wide ISO sensitivity up to 51200, continuous shooting at 4.5 frames per second, and UHD 4K video recording at 30 fps. The camera body is constructed with a magnesium alloy chassis and weather-sealed for durability in challenging environments. It includes a high-resolution 3.6 million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.2" 1.04 million-dot tilting touchscreen LCD for flexible shooting angles. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow wireless image transfer and remote control via the Nikon SnapBridge app.

24.3MP FX-Format CMOS Sensor and EXPEED 6 Processor

The full-frame 24.3MP CMOS sensor combined with the EXPEED 6 processor delivers high sensitivity, excellent image quality, and fast performance. The native ISO range is 100-51200, expandable to 102400 for extreme low-light conditions. The sensor supports a 273-point hybrid autofocus system using phase-detection and contrast-detection for fast and accurate focusing in stills and video. Eye Detection AF and Face Detection are supported for humans and animals.

UHD 4K Video Recording

The Z5 records UHD 4K video at up to 30 fps with a 1.7x crop and Full HD video at up to 60 fps using the full sensor width. Video files can be saved to internal memory cards or an external recorder via HDMI. The camera also supports in-camera time-lapse video creation in UHD 4K.

Sensor-Shift Vibration Reduction

Integrated 5-axis sensor-shift Vibration Reduction compensates for up to five stops of camera shake with any lens. When using adapted lenses via the FTZ Adapter, 3-axis stabilization is provided. Electronic VR is available to stabilize handheld video footage.

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is a versatile standard zoom lens covering wide-angle to portrait focal lengths with a constant f/4 aperture. Its optical design includes a unique aspherical extra-low dispersion element and three additional aspherical elements to minimize chromatic aberrations, distortion, and flare, ensuring sharpness and clarity across the zoom range. Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings reduce ghosting and flare in bright and backlit conditions.

The lens features a stepping motor for fast, quiet autofocus with full-time manual focus override. A programmable control ring allows intuitive adjustment of focus, aperture, or exposure compensation. The barrel retracts without buttons for a compact form when not in use. The lens is weather-sealed and has a fluorine coating on exposed elements for protection against dust, grease, and moisture.

The Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter allows the use of nearly any Nikon F-mount lens on Z-mount mirrorless cameras. It features a streamlined design without a tripod mount, optimized for cameras with battery grips or wireless transmitters. The adapter maintains autofocus and auto-exposure functions with over 90 AF-S and AF-P type D, E, and G lenses, supporting seamless integration of SLR lenses on mirrorless bodies. Constructed from magnesium alloy, it is weather-sealed for durability.
