It combines a new 32.5MP full-frame sensor, DIGIC X processing, advanced autofocus, improved stabilization, and flexible recording formats in a body designed for demanding everyday use.
The Super Hybrid
The camera is designed to handle a broad range of shooting scenarios, from still photography to professional video production. It offers 7K recording, high-speed still shooting up to 40 fps, improved subject recognition, and dual card support with CFexpress Type B and SD media.
32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor and DIGIC X Processing
The 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor delivers greater detail, more cropping flexibility, and higher print resolution than the previous generation. Paired with the DIGIC X processor, it provides excellent image quality, efficient noise handling, and the speed required for autofocus, burst shooting, video capture, and stabilization functions.
The upgraded processor also enables up to 40 fps continuous shooting with the electronic shutter or 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, with autofocus and auto exposure calculations before each frame. Pre-Continuous Shooting can capture up to 20 frames before the shutter is fully pressed, helping preserve critical moments.
SCN Shooting Modes
For users who prefer fast in-camera results, the camera includes a wide selection of SCN shooting modes with scene-based automatic exposure and look optimization.
- Photo modes include Portrait, Smooth Skin Portrait, Group Photo, Landscape, Panoramic Shot, Sports, Kids, Panning, Close-up, Food, Night Portrait, Handheld Night Scene, HDR Backlight Control, and Silent Shutter.

8.5-Stop Sensor-Shift Image Stabilizer

Coordinated stabilization also works with compatible Canon lenses that include optical image stabilization.
