The NiSi 15mm F4 L-Mount lens offers an impressive 112° field of view, which is wider than the typical angle for a standard 15mm focal length. It effectively provides a focal length equivalent to 14.5mm, delivering expansive ultra-wide-angle perspectives.
Robust and Precise Construction
The lens features an all-metal housing that ensures durability and protection even in harsh shooting environments. The focus ring is equipped with a ball bearing mechanism, allowing smooth, comfortable, and precise manual focusing adjustments. Both the front and rear lens elements are coated with matte paint to reduce reflections and prevent glare.
Filter Compatibility
The front of the lens has a 72 mm filter thread, compatible with standard 72mm circular filters. Additionally, it supports NiSi's popular 100mm filter holder systems, enabling photographers to easily experiment with various filters for creative effects.
Advanced Optical Design
The optical construction comprises 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, including one double-sided aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements. This design minimizes chromatic aberration, distortion, and vignetting, ensuring high image quality across the frame.
The lens also incorporates anti-reflection film technology to enhance light transmission and reduce lens flare and stray light, improving overall contrast and clarity.
Aperture and Starburst Effects
Equipped with ten straight aperture blades, the lens can produce distinct starburst effects from f/4 to f/22. Thanks to the optical design, these starbursts are free from glare, allowing creative use of light points without the need for very small apertures.
Close Focusing Capability
