The Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is the world’s first ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras to feature a fast constant f/2.8 aperture. Compact and lightweight, it delivers high-quality images with excellent sharpness and clarity. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 15 cm, enabling close-up wide-angle shooting with a unique perspective that enlarges near subjects and compresses distant ones.
Its optical design minimizes chromatic aberrations and color fringing, while the BBAR-G2 coating suppresses internal reflections for enhanced contrast and color fidelity, especially in backlit or harsh lighting conditions. The RXD autofocus motor provides fast, silent, and smooth focusing, ideal for both still photography and video recording. The lens supports Sony’s Direct Manual Focus and Eye AF functions with full-time manual focus override.
Designed for versatility, this lens is well suited for landscape, astrophotography, architecture, and creative wide-angle macro photography. The bright f/2.8 aperture allows for better low-light performance and depth-of-field control, producing pleasing background bokeh.
