The lens features a sophisticated optical construction with 17 elements in 12 groups, including one XGM (eXpanded Glass Molded Aspherical) element, three GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) elements, and several specialized lens elements. This design minimizes image blur at the edges and chromatic aberrations, delivering sharp and clear results from center to edge of the frame.
It also corrects sagittal coma flare, a common issue when photographing stars and night scenes, making it an excellent choice for astrophotography, nightscapes, and other subjects requiring edge-to-edge detail.
