This design ensures high-resolution performance with consistent edge-to-edge sharpness throughout the zoom range while effectively suppressing optical aberrations and focus breathing.
The lens offers a bright maximum aperture of f/2.8 at 20mm, enhancing low-light capability and depth-of-field control. It also provides near half-macro performance with a 1:2.3 reproduction ratio at 35mm and a close focus distance as short as 20 cm at the wide end.
