Compact for everyday use
At approximately 40.9 mm long and weighing 142 g, the LUMIX S 20mm F2.5 adds very little bulk to a full-frame camera. It pairs particularly well with compact LUMIX S camera bodies, making a portable setup for travel, city walks and extended handheld shooting.
The maximum F2.5 aperture offers added flexibility in low light and can produce a blurred background when working close to a subject. A minimum focusing distance of 18 cm and maximum magnification of 0.15x allow close-up images with an exaggerated wide-angle perspective.
Designed for stills and video
The optical construction comprises 11 elements in 9 groups, including three aspherical elements and three ED elements. Focus breathing suppression helps maintain natural focus transitions during video recording.
Autofocus is fast, precise and quiet, and the AF/MF switch provides direct access to the focus mode. The focus ring is customizable, and the lens Fn button can be assigned functions such as Crop Zoom for quicker access while shooting.
Built for outdoor use
The lens has a dust-, splash- and freeze-resistant construction for use in changing outdoor conditions. A fluorine coating on the front element helps make water droplets, dirt and fingerprints easier to remove.
