50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary Lens
The Sigma 50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary is a compact, travel-friendly telephoto zoom lens for APS-C cameras with a Fujifilm X mount. Its 50-120mm focal-length range provides a 75-180mm full-frame equivalent field of view. The constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, high-speed autofocus and optical stabilisation make it suitable for subjects near and far, including handheld shooting in low light. The lens measures approximately 99 mm long and weighs less than 454 g.
Autofocus and video
A High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) autofocus system shifts focus quickly and accurately, supporting subject tracking and rapid changes between subjects. Focus breathing is suppressed, making the lens suitable for video production.
Optical stabilisation
The optical stabilisation system uses Sigma’s OS2 algorithm and compensates for up to 6.5 stops of camera shake at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end. It supports handheld shooting while moving and in low light, including at longer focal lengths.
Optical construction and rendering
The optical design includes one FLD element, three SLD elements and four aspherical elements to help produce sharp images with accurate colour and minimal distortion throughout the zoom range, including at f/2.8. The rounded 11-blade diaphragm creates smooth bokeh and gradual focus fall-off.
Weather-resistant construction
Dust- and splash-resistant construction helps protect the lens when shooting in changeable weather. The front element has a water- and oil-repellent coating to make cleaning easier.
