The Thypoch Eureka 28mm f/2.8 ASPH. is a beautifully crafted full-frame photography lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras, blending vintage 1950s pancake-lens styling with modern optical precision. Its lightweight brass body, bright f/2.8 aperture, and wide 28mm view make it ideal for street, travel, and everyday storytelling, while advanced optical elements ensure sharpness, clarity, and excellent flare control in any environment.
The Thypoch Eureka 28mm f/2.8 ASPH. reimagines the charm of classic 1950s pancake lenses with a fresh, modern twist, offering Fujifilm X-mount photographers a compact, stylish, and highly capable wide-angle option. Available in an elegant Pearl White finish, this lens provides a soft, refined visual character that complements retro-inspired camera bodies beautifully. Constructed with a durable brass exterior and weighing only 137g at just 19.5mm tall, it is perfectly tailored for photographers who value portability without compromising build quality.
Inside, the Eureka 28mm f/2.8 features a sophisticated optical structure with one aspherical element and three high-refractive-index elements, supported by multi-layer nano coatings to deliver crisp, high-contrast images with reduced aberrations and minimized flare. Its f/2.8 aperture enables natural depth-of-field control and solid low-light performance, making it suitable for concerts, night scenes, and atmospheric street photography. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.4m, the lens allows you to capture intimate details while still maintaining an expansive storytelling perspective.
Designed for versatility, the 28mm focal length excels in street moments, interiors, landscapes, and daily life, and on APS-C cameras offers a near-human-eye equivalent field of view of approximately 42mm. Fully manual in operation, the lens provides tactile precision and a satisfying mechanical feel, making every shot intentional. Its retro aesthetics and compatibility with Fujifilm and Leica (via M-to-X adapters) add flexibility for photographers who enjoy mixing systems while maintaining a cohesive visual style.
