The Aputure STORM XT52 is the most powerful point source LED fixture in the industry, capable of overpowering daylight with both tunable white and full color capabilities.
BLAIR Light Engine Technology
The STORM XT52 features the BLAIR (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) light engine, delivering the highest quality white light with the broadest correlated color temperature (CCT) range and precise +/- green adjustment among high output LED fixtures. Indigo emitters in the chipset enhance fluorescing materials such as natural daylight and tungsten sources.
Its output reaches 41,900 lux at 5 meters with a 35° reflector, surpassing the brightness of a 6,000W HMI fixture.
Advanced Color Tuning Control
The revolutionary BLAIR engine outputs saturated colors covering over 70% of the Rec.2020 color space using Limited HSIC+ and x,y control modes. This allows for deep crimson sunsets, rich sodium vapor ambers, and subtle color effects without the need for gels. The STORM XT52 is more than twice as powerful as any other point source color light.
Compact and Lightweight Design

The lamp head can be lifted by one person and operated on a standard crank stand. The control box is portable, briefcase-sized, and lightweight.
Extended Reach and Flexible Setup
The 7.5 m lamp head cable can be extended up to 45 m, allowing placement of the lamp head in elevated positions such as cherry pickers while keeping the control box on the ground for easy access. The fixture can be powered at full brightness using standard 6,500W generators.
Rugged Construction and Weather Protection
The entire system—including control box, cables, lamp head, and modifiers—is IP65 rated for weather protection. The ruggedized design ensures durability in challenging environments, and the modular internal design facilitates easy and fast servicing.
Efficient Power Usage
The STORM XT52 draws 5,200W at full power and can operate on popular 6,500W generators. When using extended cables up to 45 m, power draw may increase to 6,000W, but a menu control allows limiting maximum power to prevent overloading power sources.
Ideal for High-Speed Photography
The fixture provides flicker-free output at 20% brightness or higher at any recording frame rate, making it suitable for high frame rate applications such as action stunts and food product photography.
