Compact 40 W RGB LED light

The Godox ML40R RGB LED Studio Light is a compact 40 W light source for photography, filmmaking and video production. It provides RGB lighting and an adjustable colour temperature from 1,800 K to 10,000 K. With CRI and TLCI ratings of approximately 97, it delivers colour-accurate illumination. With the included ML-L10 reflector, it produces up to 34,000 lux at 5,600 K and a distance of 1 m. Its compact design, built-in rechargeable battery and app-based control make it suitable for studio and on-location work.

Compact design for mobile use

Designed for creators who frequently change locations, the ML40R measures 97 × 46 × 91 mm and weighs approximately 425 g. Its small size and light weight make it easy to transport and convenient for outdoor shoots, location recording and use in small studios.

Adjustable colour temperature and RGB lighting

The 1,800–10,000 K colour temperature range lets you adapt the light to different conditions, from warm to cool illumination. RGB mode provides coloured lighting effects without the need for filters, expanding creative options on set. The light also offers 14 FX lighting effects and Bluetooth connectivity with a range of up to 30 m.

Built-in battery and charging

Two built-in lithium-ion cells provide a total capacity of 17.424 Wh (3.63 V, 4,800 mAh). A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, while operating time at 100% brightness is up to 42 minutes. The USB-C port supports charging at up to 60 W, allowing convenient charging outside the studio.
