Product details

Neutral Density (ND) Filters

Neutral density (ND) filters provide precise control over the amount of light entering the lens, enabling greater creative exposure control for photographers and allowing video creators to maintain shutter speeds that match frame rates while preserving depth of field.

HD Mk II IRND64 for Motion Blur and Flow Effects

The HD Mk II IRND64 filter is ideal for motion control and blurring moving subjects such as flowing water, waves, or people in motion. Without an ND filter, standard camera settings render movement as still. While reducing aperture to f/16 or f/22 can create a flowing effect, it risks diffraction that degrades image resolution. Cameras with a minimum ISO of 200 and fast prime lenses may not achieve sufficiently slow shutter speeds to capture motion blur. Using the HD Mk II IRND64 allows shooting at optimal apertures to avoid diffraction and reduces exposure to shutter speeds that express natural movement as flowing.

Advanced IRND Technology for Uniform Light Reduction

HOYA's ACCU-ND technology ensures even light reduction across the visible spectrum and into the infrared range, preventing infrared light leaks that cause color shifts. This technology positions the HD Mk II IRND series as a market leader in high-quality IR neutral density filters.

Water- and Oil-Repellent Anti-Reflection Multi-Coating

The filter features a multi-coating that minimizes reflections and includes water- and oil-repellent properties, facilitating easy and stress-free cleaning.

HD Low-Profile Frame Design

The ultra-thin, lightweight aluminum frame reduces vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses and supports stacking with an integrated front filter thread.
