NiSi Nano IR Neutral Density Filter ND1000

The NiSi Nano IR Neutral Density Filter ND1000 is specially designed for landscape photographers. This filter is made from high quality optical glass with a double-sided, multi-layer anti-reflective coating from Japan, minimizing reflections. It features a super hard "U"-type Nano coating that makes the surface extremely resistant to water and oil, facilitating easy cleaning.

Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image. The 3.0 density provides a 10-stop reduction in light entering the lens. An infrared (IR) protection coating layer eliminates infrared light passing through the lens, preserving natural colors in the image.

Filter Frame

The frame is precisely crafted from brass with a thickness of only 3.5 mm, making this ultra-thin filter fit perfectly even on super wide-angle lenses to avoid vignetting. The frame has a matte black superfine frosted finish of the highest quality.

Usage and Benefits

Attaching a neutral density (ND) filter to your lens uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens. This is useful when the contrast between highlights and shadows is too great to achieve a quality exposure. ND filters also enable greater motion blur and enhanced image detail by allowing the use of a large aperture and/or slow shutter speed.
