Unitree R1 Edu Professional A Crismon Hero Humanoid Robot
The Unitree R1 Edu U3 is an advanced humanoid robot designed as a comprehensive research and development platform for robotics and artificial intelligence. It stands 1,210 mm tall, weighs approximately 25 kg and has 40 degrees of freedom (DoF), combining high mobility and precise movement with a compact design that is easy to transport. The EDU U3 combines the capabilities of the R1 Basic and EDU U1 with more powerful computing, support for AI algorithms, two Dex3-1 three-fingered hands and additional degrees of freedom in the head. It is designed for advanced experiments, simulations and development work.
Advanced kinematics and natural movement
With 40 DoF, the robot can perform smooth, complex full-body movements, including jumping, running, hand-walking and martial-arts-inspired sequences. Each leg has 6 DoF, the waist has 2 DoF, each arm has 5 DoF and the head has 2 DoF. Each of the two hands has 7 DoF. The wide ranges of motion in the waist, hips and knees support testing locomotion, balance and manipulation algorithms in dynamic scenarios.
Precise joint design
The R1 EDU U3 uses hollow-axis joints with internal cable routing to improve reliability and protect mechanical components during intensive use. Dual and single encoders provide accurate position readings, while local air cooling helps maintain stable operating parameters during extended testing. The arms support a maximum payload of 2 kg for grasping and object-manipulation experiments.
Two Dex3-1 hands
The EDU U3 is equipped with two dexterous Dex3-1 three-fingered hands with force control and no touch sensors. Each hand has 7 DoF: 3 in the thumb, 2 in the index finger and 2 in the middle finger, enabling precise object manipulation.
AI-ready platform
An expansion dock provides up to 100 TOPS of computing power for developing AI algorithms, machine learning and perception systems. The platform offers algorithmic support and access to robot models, APIs and development tools. It is compatible with popular simulation environments, including Isaac Sim, supporting a workflow from simulation to real-world testing.
Perception, communication and interaction
A humanoid binocular camera supports visual perception and computer vision applications. A built-in speaker and microphone array enable voice communication, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity.
Research-ready system
Designed for laboratories, universities and R&D teams, the R1 EDU U3 is powered by a smart lithium-ion battery with a quick-release system, providing approximately 1 hour of operation. A charger is included.
