Product Description

HP5 PLUS is a traditional favorite black and white film that has become a standard against which other films are compared. It is the most forgiving plus film with a broad exposure latitude, making it highly versatile for different lighting environments.

Nominally rated at ISO 400, this medium contrast film produces negatives with exceptional sharpness and fine grain under all lighting conditions. It is especially suitable for action and press photography but also excels in general purpose photography.

HP5 PLUS is formulated to respond well to push processing, allowing film speeds up to EI 3200/36 to be achieved when developed with Ilford Microphen developer. This maintains good shadow detail, well-separated mid-tones, and sharp grain structure.
