The Mirage Pro Matte Box
The Mirage Pro Matte Box is a new generation lightweight matte box designed for both beginners and seasoned professionals. It features a precise design and a Clamp-On system that allows easy attachment to various lenses depending on the selected rear mount.
The matte box supports adapters for 15mm LWS or 19mm Studio rods (adapters not included), enabling seamless integration into existing camera setups. It includes filter holders compatible with 4×5.65 inch size filters, allowing users to apply creative filters to achieve desired visual effects.
A top aperture is included, and side apertures can be added to effectively block glare in challenging lighting conditions.
The body incorporates a unique magnetic snap-on system that enables easy removal of the front sun visor, reducing the overall weight while still supporting up to three filters simultaneously.
Removing the front lens hood may increase susceptibility to flare, but the weight reduction is particularly advantageous when using the matte box on stabilizers (gimbals) or other weight-sensitive systems.
