Overview

The X-go Predator is a solid aluminum tripod equipped with a ball head and monopod function, as well as the big brother of the tripods from the Fotopro X-go Chameleon and X-go Gecko series.

Dimensions

The maximum working height of the tripod with the head installed is 171.8 cm. At the same time, thanks to the possibility of reverse folding, the X-go Predator has small transport dimensions of only 47.5 cm.

Leg System

The tripod has a three-stage leg tilt system, which consists of four sections. The individual sections are locked with a convenient rotary clamp system called T-Lock.

Leg Features

The legs of the tripod are finished with spikes, which can be put on with rubber, non-slip ends included in the set. This ensures the best adhesion, regardless of the ground.

Central Column

The X-go Predator tripod is equipped with a central column with a reverse clamping function. This solution is particularly useful for macro photography and for shots from the so-called frog perspective. The thread on the bottom of the column allows you to install one more head or hook on it, on which you can hang additional load to improve the stability of the tripod.

A double security system protects the column against accidental lowering.

Head Compatibility

Any head with a 3/8 or 1/4 mounting thread can be mounted on the tripod. In order to change the thread, the screw has to be repositioned with the included wrench.

Ball Head Features

Tripods from the X-go Predator line are equipped with the FPH-62Q ball head with a quick-mount plate in Arca Swiss standard. The head is equipped with a set of three levels, making it easy to level the camera and a quick release lock to prevent accidental release of the equipment mounted on it.

The FPH-62Q has two precision and smooth running knobs. One is used to lock and adjust the clamping force of the ball, while the other blocks the movement of the rotating base of the head, which has a 360 scale for easy panning.

The head is secured against accidental unscrewing from the tripod by a screw which is tightened with the supplied wrench.

Monopod Function

Predator is not just a tripod. It also has the function of a monopod. After unscrewing one of the legs and the central column, you get a 170 cm high monopod with a comfortable rubber handle.
