The Falcam TreeRoot Quick Lock Travel Tripod features a unique triangular tube design that enhances both portability and overall stability. This Reuleaux-shaped leg design allows the legs to fold tightly around the triangular center column, resulting in a slim, flat profile for easy storage and natural hand contours. Compared to conventional cylindrical tubes, the triangular shape provides better stability at the base by distributing stress more evenly.
Material and Build Quality
The tripod legs are constructed from M40 high modulus carbon fiber, which offers over 60% greater Young's modulus than T300 carbon fiber of the same diameter. This advanced material composition ensures superior tensile strength and bending resistance, providing solid support for creative photography and videography work.
Legs and Locking Mechanism
- Four leg sections with diameters of 26 x 40.75 mm, 22 mm, 17.9 mm, and 13.8 mm
- Twist-lock mechanism with quick lock requiring approximately one-third turn for fast unfolding and storage
- Built-in limit structure prevents inadvertent disassembly and locking direction confusion
- Three adjustable leg angle positions for flexible shooting angles
- O-ring seals on legs reduce ingress of sand and dust, enhancing resistance to jamming in sandy and windy environments
