The Newell 4-in-1 U-shaped reflector is a professional light-shaping tool for portrait, beauty, fashion and wedding photography. Four reflective surfaces

The two double-sided covers provide four surfaces for controlling reflected light:

• White: Reflects light softly and neutrally, without a noticeable change in colour temperature. Suitable for subtle, even fill light in portraits and beauty photography.
• Silver: Produces a brighter, higher-contrast reflection for stronger fill, including outdoors or in existing light.
• Gold: Warms the reflected light and gives skin a more radiant appearance; useful for outdoor and fashion photography.
• Black: Absorbs light rather than reflecting it, helping deepen shadows, increase contrast and reduce unwanted reflections from the surroundings.

Natural-looking reflections and shadow fill

The 74° curved shape produces a delicate, crescent-shaped catchlight rather than the harsher geometric reflection of a flat reflector. Reflected light gently wraps around the face, brings out makeup and hairstyle details, and helps soften shadows beneath the eyes, nose and chin. The reflector is well suited to clamshell lighting, positioned below the model’s face to bounce the key light back onto the subject. It can be used with a beauty dish, softbox or LED ring light.

Frame, adjustment and setup

The lightweight aluminium frame combines durability with convenient handling in the studio or on location. It consists of six curved tubes, two side rods and a crossbar with a tripod mount on a hinge. The frame keeps the fabric taut to help minimise creases and unevenness that could affect reflected light. A metal joint on the handle allows the tilt angle to be adjusted, while the mount fits a lighting stand spigot for stable positioning. The segmented construction allows the frame to be assembled and dismantled quickly.

Transport and storage

The set includes a zip-up carry bag with a strap. The frame components and covers can be packed away in the bag for transport to a studio or location shoot and for storage between sessions.
