The Creality Pika 3D Scanner uses seven parallel blue laser lines and NIR structured light to capture both fine details and larger objects. It offers accuracy of up to 0.03 mm, 3D resolution from 0.1 to 2 mm and scanning speeds of up to 110 frames per second. The supported object size ranges from 10 × 10 × 10 mm to 2,000 × 2,000 × 2,000 mm. Measuring 100 × 60 × 35 mm and weighing 260 g with the battery, the scanner is easy to carry. A 3-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi 6 and two interchangeable 3,350 mAh batteries support mobile use away from a fixed workstation. It connects wirelessly to Android and iOS smartphones and to Windows and macOS computers. A wired connection to iOS devices is not supported.

Two scanning modes for small and large objects

The seven-line blue laser mode is designed to capture fine details and complex contours accurately, making it suitable for models, figurines and technical parts. It provides accuracy of up to 0.03 mm, resolution of 0.1–2 mm and a working distance of 160–400 mm. NIR structured light provides accuracy of up to 0.1 mm, resolution of 0.15–2 mm and a working distance of 140–1,000 mm, making it suitable for larger objects and human silhouettes.

Scanning speed and bright-light performance

When connected to a computer, the Pika scans at up to 110 fps in blue laser mode and up to 30 fps in NIR mode. With a smartphone, maximum speeds are 40 fps and 20 fps, respectively. The blue laser mode supports operation in light levels of up to 110,000 lx. With the appropriate filter, NIR mode supports scanning in lighting conditions of up to 80,000 lx, helping to minimise the effect of intense light on captured data.

Colour capture, dark surfaces and alignment

The Creality Pika supports colour mapping, and NIR mode captures 24-bit colour so that models can retain surface appearance as well as geometry. It can scan black and metallic objects without scanning spray, reducing preparation time. In blue laser mode, alignment can use markers, global markers or no markers. NIR mode can align scans using object geometry or texture.

Compact design and replaceable batteries

Measuring 100 × 60 × 35 mm and weighing 260 g with the battery, the scanner can be operated with one or two hands and carried into the field. The set includes two replaceable 3,350 mAh batteries, allowing a depleted battery to be swapped for the spare. The Pika also features a 3-inch touchscreen, an 8-core 2.0 GHz processor, Wi-Fi 6 and a USB Type-C / USB 3.0 interface.

CrealityScan software

CrealityScan provides tools for scanning, image and point-cloud processing, optimisation and basic editing of the resulting model. Projects can be exported in STL, OBJ, PLY and ASC formats for use in other software, including for modelling, 3D printing and digital archiving. The Pika converts real-world objects into digital geometry that can be refined and modified for future projects.
