Design and Construction

The Godox SB-FW series softbox features a robust metal ring that ensures strong and even tension of the fabric skin, providing better control over the light beam while maintaining the characteristic soft lighting of softboxes. The outer fabric is made from rip-stop nylon, offering high resistance to mechanical damage while remaining lightweight. The interior is lined with a silvery, neutral reflective layer to maximize light efficiency.

In addition to the main diffusion layer, the softbox includes an internal diffuser made of white material with a high light scattering coefficient, enhancing the softness and evenness of the light output. The front of the softbox is equipped with a collar for mounting the included honeycomb grid, which helps control light direction and reduce scatter.

Mounting and Compatibility

The softbox uses a Bowens mount ring, making it compatible with a wide range of studio flash units from various brands that support the Bowens mounting system.
