EcoFlow RIVER 3 UPS Power Station with 45 W USB-C Solar Panel

This set combines the compact EcoFlow RIVER 3 UPS portable power station with a 45 W foldable photovoltaic panel. The power station has a 245 Wh capacity and a 300 W AC output, expandable to 600 W with X-Boost. Its GaN semiconductor technology supports efficient operation, while the LiFePO4 battery is rated for up to 3,000 charge cycles. The UPS function switches to backup power in less than 10 ms, helping protect connected equipment during a power outage. The station can be charged in four ways and managed through the EcoFlow app.

GaN technology and power output

The RIVER 3 UPS uses gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology, which offers higher energy efficiency and lower energy losses than conventional silicon. GaN technology helps optimise the station for extended runtime, compact dimensions and reduced operating noise. The 300 W output can be increased to 600 W using X-Boost, allowing the station to power a range of appliances, including portable heaters, electric stoves and travel refrigerators. GaN technology can extend the runtime of devices rated up to 100 W by up to 92% compared with competing products.

Ports and device charging

The station can power and charge several devices at once. It has one 300 W AC outlet for household appliances, laptops or lighting, two USB-A ports rated at 12 W each (24 W total), one 100 W USB-C port and one 12.6 V, 100 W vehicle output. Compatible devices include smartphones, tablets, laptops, cameras, travel coolers and fans.

Quiet operation and UPS protection

Operating noise is rated at 30 dB, making the RIVER 3 UPS suitable for powering lamps and small appliances at night. In UPS mode, it switches to backup power in less than 10 ms, helping protect devices that require an uninterrupted power supply, such as laptops, network-attached storage (NAS) systems and photographic equipment. Smart notifications in the app alert you to power interruptions.

Portable design and durability

The power station weighs 3.55 kg and measures 255 × 212 × 113 mm. Its battery is protected against dust and water to IP54. The housing is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 80°C. The LiFePO4 battery retains 80% of its original capacity after up to 3,000 full charge cycles, providing a service life of up to approximately 10 years.

Four charging methods and app control

Charge the station from an AC outlet, a vehicle outlet, a photovoltaic panel or a generator. AC charging takes about one hour. The station can also be charged while travelling by car. With suitable photovoltaic panels, charging time depends on panel output and sunlight conditions. The EcoFlow app lets you monitor and manage the station remotely, including checking charge level, output power and estimated remaining runtime. Connectivity is via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

45 W foldable photovoltaic panel

The included EcoFlow 45 W foldable photovoltaic panel has a USB-C port for charging compatible devices directly, as well as EcoFlow RIVER 3 and RIVER 2 series power stations. Its conversion efficiency is up to 25%, using N-type monocrystalline silicon cells with TOPCon technology. In full sunlight, it can charge the RIVER 3 in approximately 6.3 hours.

The USB-C port can charge phones, power banks, laptops and air pumps without a power station. Indicative charging times from 0 to 80% are approximately 2.4 hours for a 4,500 mAh smartphone, 18 minutes for a 1,120 mAh camera and 1.2 hours for a 4,380 mAh laptop.

Compact, weather-resistant construction

The four-section panel folds to approximately laptop size and weighs 1.4 kg, making it easy to carry in a backpack, vehicle boot or motorhome storage compartment. Its layered ETFE and fibreglass PCB construction is designed to resist impact, wind and water. IP68 certification provides dust protection and resistance to immersion in water. Four built-in mounting holes and the included hooks allow the panel to be attached to a vehicle, tent or backpack as well as placed on the ground.

TOPCon cells are designed to reduce power losses at high temperatures by up to 16.7% compared with standard panels, support long service life and perform better in low-light conditions, potentially extending daily energy production by up to one hour.
