The Zoom F2-BT is an ultra-compact, belt-mountable field recorder optimized for capturing clear, distortion-free dialogue and audio in a variety of professional and creative settings. Its 32-bit float recording technology eliminates the need for gain adjustments and prevents clipping, allowing users to record both very quiet and very loud sounds with pristine clarity.
The included LMF-2 lavalier microphone features an omnidirectional polar pattern for consistent voice capture regardless of subject movement, and its locking 3.5mm connector ensures a secure connection. Three windscreens are provided to reduce wind noise during outdoor recording.
Bluetooth connectivity enables wireless control of recording functions, battery status, output volume, and low-cut filtering through the free Zoom F2 Control app on iOS and Android devices. Additionally, the F2-BT can synchronize timecode wirelessly when paired with an UltraSync BLUE device (sold separately), making it suitable for professional audio-for-video workflows.
Recordings are saved directly to microSD cards (up to 512 GB), and files can be transferred to a computer via USB Type-C. The F2 Editor software for Mac and Windows allows users to configure device settings and format storage cards. The recorder’s simple one-touch controls and LED indicators provide intuitive operation without navigating complex menus.
