The unique characteristic of this lens is that at full aperture it produces a soft, dreamy blur over the image. This effect diminishes as the aperture is stopped down, making the lens versatile. Each aperture stop creates a distinct visual effect.
The lens housing is constructed entirely of aluminum, and focusing is manual. The optical design consists of 4 elements in 3 groups with anti-reflective coating to enhance image quality.
It also offers true macro capabilities with a maximum magnification of 1:2 and a minimum focusing distance of 130mm, ideal for macro photography.
