The Sweet 22 lens creates a small, sharp, centered "sweet spot" that imparts a sense of motion to still images, while producing dramatic focus transitions for moving subjects entering or leaving the Sweet 22 "sweet spot" during video recording.

An impressive sea of blur gradually transitions to a precise, sharp, and accurate "sweet spot," enabling photographers to create more dramatic images than with previous selective focus lenses. This dramatic selective focusing effect is combined with an ultra-wide angle of view—nearly 90° on full-frame cameras—allowing precise isolation of a single subject from its surroundings, while focusing as close as 127 mm from the lens to separate the subject from its background.
