The Kowa TSN-EX16 is a 1.6x extender designed to increase the magnification of Kowa TSN-99, TSN-880, and TSN-770 spotting scopes when used with original Kowa eyepieces. Utilizing Kowa's advanced optical technology and superior lens coatings, the extender delivers excellent optical performance with less than 5% light loss, even at high magnifications. This makes it ideal for long-distance observation and digiscoping applications, including terrestrial and astronomical subjects.
Mounting and Compatibility
The TSN-EX16 mounts easily between the spotting scope body and the eyepiece via a screw thread and features a bayonet connection compatible with Kowa eyepieces. It fits both straight and angled spotting scopes of the TSN-99, TSN-880, and TSN-770 series. The extender's design integrates seamlessly with the spotting scope's body for a streamlined appearance.
Optical Performance and Usage
Thanks to its special optical composition, the TSN-EX16 maintains nearly full light transmission despite the increased magnification. Users can also stack multiple extenders to achieve even higher magnifications without significant degradation in image quality.
