The NiSi Nano Hard-Edge Graduated IRND Filter is designed to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while maintaining normal, unaffected exposure in other regions. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers sharply to clear towards the middle, with a distinct hard-edged transition line between the dense and clear areas. This filter is ideal when the separation between bright and dark areas is well defined, such as the horizon line or the boundary between sea level and sky.
Optimized for digital sensors, the filter provides nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. To ensure high neutrality across visible and infrared spectrums, eliminate color casts, and produce cleaner, truer blacks, each surface is treated with one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating.
