Optical Design and Functionality
- This graduated neutral density (GND) filter features a vertical soft-edge transition, with the highest density at the edges gradually becoming transparent towards the center.
- The soft transition line between dense and clear areas allows for smooth darkening of bright image zones, such as skies, while leaving other parts unaffected.
- The filter is neutral in density and does not affect image color, making it ideal for use with other filters.
Advanced Coating and Infrared Control
- Each surface of the filter is coated with a single layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating, which reduces infrared (IR) light transmission as well as visible light wavelengths.
- This coating minimizes color shifts and maintains color neutrality, ensuring cleaner and truer blacks, especially during extended exposure times.
