The NiSi Nano IR Medium Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filter is specifically designed for landscape photographers. Constructed from high-quality environmental optical lens glass (H-K9L), not resin, it features a nano coating on both sides to prevent detail loss and repel water and oil.

This rectangular filter has a medium transition edge with a darkened top area that gradually transitions to clear at the bottom, effectively reducing overexposure of skies while maintaining normal exposure in other parts of the image. This design is particularly useful for scenes containing buildings, mountains, or other elements protruding into the skyline.

Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image. However, infrared light can cause unwanted red color casts when shooting at small apertures. To address this, NiSi has incorporated an infrared protection coating layer that eliminates infrared light passing through the lens, restoring natural colors.
