Explore Scientific 82 Series extreme wide field eyepieces are optimized to deliver high contrast, high resolution, and superior flat field characteristics.
Visual Experience
The eyepieces feature a long eye-relief and an 82° apparent field of view, providing a full-immersion experience. This design allows the observer's eye to remain relaxed, facilitating the use of the "averted vision" technique to study faint details across a vast field of view.
Comfort Features
The 82 Series eyepieces include a twist-up rubber eye-guard that can be adjusted to the desired height for observer comfort. Eye comfort is essential for observing at the visual limits of a telescope.
Design and Coating
To minimize internal reflections, all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel are flat black, including the edges of the lenses to reduce light scattering within the lenses. All 82 Series eyepieces are fully multi-coated and edge-blackened to maximize contrast.
