Explore Scientific 82 Series extreme wide field eyepieces are optimized to deliver high contrast, high resolution, and superior flat field characteristics.
Visual Experience
The visual effect of these eyepieces with their long eye relief and an 82° apparent field of view provides a full-immersion experience. The relaxed eye position allows easy use of the averted vision
technique to study faint details across a vast field of view.
Comfort Features
The 82 Series eyepieces include a twist-up rubber eye guard adjustable to the observer's preferred height, enhancing comfort during extended observation sessions. Eye comfort is critical when observing at the visual limits of a telescope.
Design and Coating
To minimize internal reflections, all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel are flat black, including the edges of the lenses to reduce light scattering within the optics. All 82 Series eyepieces are fully multi-coated with edge-blackened lenses to maximize contrast.
