Functionality and Compatibility

The X5 unit serves a dual role: when attached to the iT32 flash, it acts as a hotshoe for on-camera use; when detached, it automatically switches to a wireless trigger mode to control the iT32 or other Godox Wireless X System flashes remotely. This design allows photographers to quickly switch between on-camera and off-camera flash setups.

The system supports cross-brand compatibility by using interchangeable magnetic X5 hotshoe versions, enabling easy switching between camera brands without compatibility issues.
