Quick release ball safety pin prevents the riser from slipping.

Safety wire equipped on the column to avoid unexpected drop-off of the clamp.

1/4-20 female thread on the top of a 5/8 (16mm) baby pin.

The collar on the top of the telescopic hanger keeps it secure for pan adjustment while the knob of the clamp is loosened.
