Shape Touch and Go Flying Plate System (TGCFP)
The Shape Touch and Go Flying Plate System is a quick release mounting solution compatible with Sachtler 35, OConnor Euro (Large 120mm), and Ronford Baker RBQ tripod heads. It is designed for the cine market, adhering to industry standards for professional camera support systems.
System Components
- Flying Plate (FPLGO): A lightweight, reversible plate made from CNC machined aluminum, weighing 0.1 kg. It features one fixed 3/8-16 thread and a sliding thread for adjustability, secured to the camera base with two 3/8-16 captive screws. The plate includes two rubber strips to protect the camera and prevent slipping.
- Quick Release Receiver Base (TGRB): Also CNC machined aluminum, this lightweight receiver weighs 0.36 kg and features a lever mechanism to clamp or release the flying plate. It includes multiple threaded holes (nine 1/4-20 and seven 3/8-16) for versatile attachment options.
Operation
To use, simply drop the flying plate into the quick release receiver base; it will snap into place. Pushing the lever further clamps the plate securely, ensuring a locked and stable connection. The lever can be pushed or pulled to release the plate quickly and easily.
